Second Company Bicentennial Charm
This 1.5" charm commemorates the journey and arrival of the Second Company of missionaries from New Haven, Connecticut in April 1823. This group collaborated with the Pioneer company, Tahitian missionaries, Hawaiian scholars and the ali'i to further the teaching of Christianity through these connections.
The theme of connection is woven into this logo, where an elm tree, for which new Haven is famous, intertwines with Hawai'i's 'ulu (breadfruit) tree. The charm is 1.5" in diameter and is silver colored with green enamel.
